THE ILLINOIS ASSOCIATION OF EXTENDED CARE

"Bridging The Gap - The Voice Recovery"

About Us
The Illinois Association of Extended Care (IAEC) was founded in 1988 and operates as a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation.  The purpose of IAEC is to unite residential care facilities within the State of Illinois to improve the quality of services and address issues of concerns.

The members of IAEC provide a very valuable service in the continuum of care - recovery management and recovery support services.  Just as there is a difference between prevention services and treatment services, there is an equal difference between treatment services and recovery support services.

Living in recovery beyond the treatment door is not easy and some individuals need a little extra help in making the transition to living a life clean and sober.  Others simply have no other place to live - they have lost everything and are starting a new life - a life of recovery that promises to give back that which addiction to alcohol and other drugs has taken away.

Residential extended care facilities offer a variety of services and assistance and vary in levels of care.  All IAEC members meet the Ilinois standards, follow a Code of Ethics, and comply with Illinos Administrative Rules - Section 2060.
